Foundation is mandatory for everyone new to Absolute
This is regardless if you have attended similar classes at other studios before. We do this to orient you about our equipment and what to expect in our classes at Absolute, to ensure you have the best experience. As this may differ from studio to studio.
For classes that include Foundation look for the classes on the schedule indicated with F15MIN or F30MIN (for Pilates)
e.g. 10:00 - 11:00 F15MIN ABSOLUTE BEATS > This means that foundation begins at 10:00, and the actual class begins at 10:15
You can attend as many Foundation sessions as you like, and if you are on a trial, we recommend you attend more than 1 Foundation class, as you might not have grasped everything the first time.
Regulars can opt to skip the Foundation and enter the room after the Foundation (e.g. at 10:15)
Which classes are without foundation?
Non-Foundation classes, are classes without the "F" will start exactly at the time indicated:
e.g. 10:00 - 10:45 ABSOLUTE BEATS > The class starts at 10:00 on the dot
For all classes we recommend arriving no less than 10min before the class, this is to ensure you can get set up and checked in on time. We have a strict late arrival policy.
Classes without Foundation tend to be a bit more challenging, which is why those on a trial are restricted to only be able to attend classes with Foundation.
Can I attend only the Foundation, but do the actual class another day?
No, we don't recommend that. It's essential that you attend the class and the Foundation together, or else you will not be able to apply what you learned, and most likely will need to attend it again anyways.
